Getting started
How your AI receptionist works
A quick rundown of what your receptionist does, what your customers experience, and how you stay in control.
1. Setup
- We build your receptionist from your order form, then reach out to connect your phone line and your scheduling software.
- Connecting Jobber takes one click: a Jobber admin logs in and taps Allow Access.
- We make test calls and texts, then tell you it's live.
2. What your customers experience
- Calls: your phone rings first if you chose that. If you don't answer, the AI picks up, answers questions, quotes your prices, checks your schedule and books the job.
- Talking to a person: callers can ask for a real person anytime. Your phone rings, and if nobody answers, the AI takes a message.
- Missed calls: anyone who hangs up gets a text within a minute, and the AI keeps the conversation going by text.
- After booking: on Pro and Elite, customers get an instant confirmation, a reminder the day before, and a review request after the job.
3. What you get
- A text for every booking, every message, and a short summary of every call the AI handled.
- On Pro and Elite, bookings appear in Jobber as a request with a scheduled assessment at the booked time.
4. Staying in control
- Jump into any text conversation just by replying yourself. The AI steps back from that customer for 12 hours.
- Block off time in Jobber, and the AI won't book it.
- Spam and bots are ignored automatically. Tell us about any number that should always be ignored.
- Quiet hours: reminders and follow-ups are never sent late at night. Booking confirmations always go out right away.
5. Making changes
To change prices, services, hours, the greeting or the personality, email contact@canyonhaul.com.
6. Billing
Your monthly plan is billed automatically after the one-time setup fee. There's no contract, and you can cancel anytime by emailing us. See pricing.
Tip: For the first week, skim the call summaries. If the AI answers something differently than you would, tell us and we'll tune it.
